The Hamilton package is sold-out. Can I be on the wait list?
If you have purchased the Full Conference, and wish to be on the wait list to add a Hamilton ticket, email Carol Hovey to be added to a wait list for cancellations.
Can I get extra Hamilton tickets for my family?
Unfortunately, because of high demand, Hamilton tickets are only available with conference registration.
Can I get extra tickets for Cagney for Friday matinee or tickets for the CETA Awards on Friday evening?
Yes. Those can be purchased separately on the registration page.
Are any meals included?
Not this year. Because our conference venues are not in a hotel, it makes large-scale meals difficult. However, there are more than 25 restaurants within 6 blocks, so everyone’s dietary and budget needs can be met. Enjoy sit-down full scale restaurants or the convenience of places like Panera or Chipotle. You can eat on your own timetable.
Why did CETA membership go up by $25?
For a very exciting reason–CETA now has national representation in a new affiliation with the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA). Your CETA membership now includes professional membership in EdTA, and all of its benefits. If you are already an EdTA member because you sponsor a Thespian troupe, you will receive a $25 credit at the EdTA store. More exciting details will be provided at the conference!
Is everything “walk-able?”
Our hotel, workshop venues, restaurants, Television Academy, El Portal and CSz are all only blocks apart. You will not need a car, but if you have trouble getting around, just let us know and we will assist you. For Hamilton, you will need to take the Metrorail if you don’t have a car. Even if you have a car, it will be cheaper to take the Metrorail. The Metro stop is Hollywood and Vine, and it is directly across the street from the Pantages Theatre. When you emerge from the station, you will be staring at the marquee. Wear walking shoes.
What is the attire for the conference?
The entire conference is casual, with the exception of our CETA Awards Ceremony at the Television Academy on Friday night. We would encourage you to dress in festive attire, appropriate for a celebration!
How do I earn credits for the PDIs?
Upper division units from CA State University, East Bay are offered for each day of the conference, Thursday to Sunday. An e-journal detailing topics covered is required for each day for which a delegate attends. There are fees for the CSU courses. If you attend all four days, you can earn 6 units.
Payment by check or credit card must be made on site at the CETA conference.
